OKBASE MAPSERVICE

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Oklahoma Base Mapservice provides the user with data in Image Service  format for the following layers:

Oklahoma State Boundary

Neighboring States to Oklahoma (Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana)

Oklahoma Cities (points)

Oklahoma Small Cities (points)

Oklahoma Small Towns (points)

Oklahoma City Boundaries (polygons)

Oklahoma School Districts and Special Elementary Districts

Interstate Highways

US Highways

State Highways

Railroads

Rivers (General and Detailed)

Lakes (General and Detailed)

Sections

Townships

Oklahoma County Boundaries

State House Districts

State Senate Districts

In the near future we plan to add town and city  boundaries and US Congressional Districts (109th Congress) to both services, and DOQQs and DRGs for the entire state to the Image Service.

PROJECTION INFORMATION

All geographic data served as Mapservices through OCGI and SCI are provided in an Albers Equal Area Conic USGS Version projection.  Additional  base information on this projection is provided below:
