DESCRIPTION: THE GREEN MCCURTAIN HOUSE WAS NOMINATED TO THE NATIONAL REGISTER IN 1971 WHEN THE ORIGINAL HOUSE WAS IN RUINS. AT THE TIME OF LISTING, THERE WERE PLANS FOR RECONSTRUCTION THAT HAS SINCE BEEN COMPLETED. THIS IS A TWO-STORY L-SHAPED RESIDENCE WITH WOOD SIDING AND A BAY PROJECTION ON THE SOUTH WING. THE HOME IS SIGNIFICANT FOR ITS ASSOCIATION WITH GREEN MCCURTAIN, THE LAST ELECTED CHIEF OF THE CHOCTAW NATION. LISTED IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER 6/21/1971.
