DESCRIPTION: AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF HIGH-STYLE, TURN OF THE CENTURY ARCHITECTURE. THE ASYMMETRICAL PLAN AND VARIED TEXTURES OF THE QUEEN ANNE STYLE AND THE FORMAL ELEMENTS OF CLASSICISM COMBINE INTO A FORM REFERRED TO AS FREE CLASSIC. THIS COMBINATION IS OFTEN FOUND IN THE POPULAR COLONIAL REVIVAL INSPIRED HOUSES OF THE PERIOD. THE DOMINANT FEATURES OF THE GOFF HOUSE ARE THE CIRCULAR TOWER SET INTO THE INTERSECTING GAMBREL ROOF. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 9/8/88.
